Is It Worth Mentioning That The Main Motivation For Me To Change Jobs Is The Desire To Earn More?

Is It Worth Mentioning That The Main Motivation For Me To Change Jobs Is The Desire To Earn More?It is definitely worth being honest in describing your motivation for changing jobs. And it would be great to provide a detailed answer as to why money is the number one priority (for example, the lack of salary reviews in your current position).

In addition to this, there should be other reasons why you are considering changing employers. Solely financial motivation is not what employers are looking for. There will always be a risk that competitors could lure you away with a higher salary.

Think about why you came for an interview at this particular company. Perhaps you have previously only worked in startups and have not brought any projects to release, whereas here is a successful company with completed projects and valuable experience in working with live ops? Or maybe you know your future manager from conference presentations and would like to work with them?

Try to answer the question: what will you do if your current company offers you a counteroffer for the same amount as the new potential employer? Will you stay or move to the new company? Why? This will highlight your motivation, which you can articulate to the recruiter in addition to financial motivation, while remaining completely sincere.
